Located just past the intersection of Duck Run (Scioto Co. Road 33) and Colley Road (Scioto Co. Road 56) is a building that once was a one room school house that was attended by Roy Roger as a boy growing up on Duck Run.

Students walked to the school house from the surrounding area where the teacher taught first through eighth grade.

It was at this one-room schoolhouse where Roy, then known as Leonard Sly, first discovered his musical talent with encouragement from his teacher.
