Hours of Enjoyment Await
Impounded
during the late 1960's by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Turkey Creek Lake located along State Route 125 in
Shawnee State Park.
The 51-acre lake offers hours of enjoyment for boating enthusiast and anglers of all
ages.
Boat launch ramps are provided for access to the lake for boats. The lake is limited to boats with electric
motors only.
There's a public beach for swimming and rowboats and canoes are available for rental for use
on the lake.
Anglers can cast their lines into well-stocked lake and try there luck to hook largemouth bass,
catfish, bluegill, crappie and trout.
Each year the Ohio Department of Natural Resouces restocks the lake with
fresh trout in an anticipation of Ohio's first and oldest trout derby held each April at Turkey Creek Lake.
Fishing licenses may be obtained at nearby Shawnee lodge.
